Get it free on the App Store or Google Play, or use it right in the browser — either way, anyone you invite joins straight from a link.
Is ThatOneTime available in Spanish?
Yes — the whole app is in English and Spanish, and it follows your phone's language automatically. You can switch it any time, before or after you sign in, and emails come in your language too. What your group writes — trip names, notes, captions — stays exactly as they wrote it; we translate the app, not your trip.
Is it free?
Yes — you can start a trip free with Day Trip (up to 2 travelers). Bigger trips are a one-time price per trip: Getaway $2.99 (up to 8), Adventure $4.99 (up to 12), Big Trip $12.99 (up to 20), and Tour Group $29.99 (up to 50, for guides and organised groups). Only the trip organizer pays; everyone else joins free.
Do my travel companions need to pay or download an app?
No — and nobody but you pays. Your travel companions join from a link in any browser, with nothing to install. For yourself, the free iPhone and Android apps are the better way to run a trip: activity notifications when the plan changes, photos you can save straight to your camera roll, and a full screen with no browser bars. Only the trip's organizer pays; everyone else joins free.
Can we download the photos, or do they only live in the app?
They're yours to keep. Anyone who was on the trip — Travelers and Photos-only alike — gets a “Download all photos” button on the recap page that pulls every original as a zip, in a browser or in the app. A single photo saves straight to your camera roll from the app, or downloads on the web. People you only sent a recap link to, and anyone set to View only, can look but not download.
Can I share the trip with people who weren't on it?
Yes. Once the trip is over, create a recap link — a read-only, photo-focused summary of the whole trip — and send it to anyone. They don't need an account, don't take a traveler spot, and can't download the originals. You can turn the link off at any time. If you'd rather share the plan than the photos, there's a separate link for just the itinerary.
How do I sign in?
With just your email — we send a magic link or a 6-digit code, so there's no password to remember. Prefer a password? You can set one as an option.
Can everyone add photos?
Yes. Everyone's photos land in one shared album, automatically grouped by day, and you can download all of them anytime for free. When the trip ends, ThatOneTime builds a shareable recap you can send to anyone.
How many photos can we add?
Every traveler gets 100 photos in the shared album, and anyone can unlock more for their own photos whenever they want. Events give each guest 50.
Can I share our itinerary with friends who weren’t on the trip?
Yes — once the trip has ended, the host or a co-host can share a link to just the plan: days, stops, saved places and notes. Photos, bookings and confirmations are never included. Anyone with the link can start their own trip from it.
Does it show travel times between stops?
Yes. Switch the day to map mode to see every stop pinned with drive, walk, train or bus times between them, and a heads-up if the day is going to run late. Train and bus times depend on the transit data Google has for the area — where it has none, the app tells you and links straight to Google Maps.
