The problem

The group chat falls apart the moment the trip begins.

Planning a trip with friends or family means a pile of texts, screenshots, PDFs, and half-remembered reservations. The second you leave home, all of it goes stale.

That One Time collapses all of it into one source of truth that updates for everyone, instantly.

  • Wait — which restaurant did we book for tonight?
  • Did anyone actually reserve the tour, or…?
  • Can someone re-send the address? I lost it in the chat.
  • Whose phone has the good photos from day two?
Before: a chaotic family group chat full of unanswered questions. After: one clean, shared ThatOneTime plan everyone can see.

Why people love it

Built to be the guide you actually use on the road.

Not a planning tool you abandon once you leave home — the one app the whole group opens all trip long.

Real-time, always

An edit on one phone is on every phone. No more “which version is current?” — everyone sees the same plan, the moment it changes.

Private by default

Every trip is gated to its members, with revocable read-only links for grandparents and friends who just want to follow along.

One tap to the next thing

Directions, call-to-book, add-to-day, save-photo — each is a single tap. Nothing buried in menus when you need it at 65 mph.

Everyone’s in sync

Two families, three cars, kids in the mix — one shared plan keeps the whole party moving together without a dozen “where are you?” texts.

The album everyone keeps

Photos and clips fill the shared Memories tab as the trip happens — auto-tagged to the day, grouped by place, saved back in a tap.

A family of five gathered around one phone at a coastal overlook, following their trip together, with the ocean and a coast road behind them.

What’s inside

One shared app. Zero group-chat chaos.

Everything the trip needs, in one place everyone can see and edit.

Plan

One living plan, current every day.

Open to the day’s plan and what’s next — your lodging, a tap-to-navigate address, and the day at a glance. Reorder activities, edit times, and weave in flights and drives; everyone sees the change the instant it happens.

Saved places & Memories

Find the good spots, keep the moments.

Search for a place and save it to the trip — then drop any of them onto a day. Everyone’s photos land in one shared album, auto-tagged to the day and saved back in a tap.

Recap

A highlights story, auto-made when the trip ends.

That One Time assembles a shareable recap — a cover, the numbers (days, places, photos), and a day-by-day story of where you went and the moments you caught. A link you can send to family who weren’t even there.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is ThatOneTime?

ThatOneTime is a real-time, shared trip guide that lives on every traveler's phone. Plan the trip together, watch it update for everyone instantly, and keep all the photos in one shared album. Anyone you invite can join straight from a link, right in the browser — no download required.

Is it free?

Yes — you can start a trip free with Day Trip (up to 2 travelers). Bigger trips are a one-time price per trip: Getaway $2.99 (up to 8), Adventure $4.99 (up to 12), and Big Trip $12.99 (up to 20). Only the trip organizer pays; everyone else joins free.

Do my travel companions need to pay or download an app?

No download, and no charge to join — only the trip's organizer pays to start the trip. Everyone else taps a link (or scans a QR code) and they're in, right in the browser, and it installs to the home screen like an app.

How do I sign in?

With just your email — we send a magic link or a 6-digit code, so there's no password to remember. Prefer a password? You can set one as an option.

Can everyone add photos?

Yes. Everyone's photos land in one shared album, automatically grouped by day, and you can download all of them anytime for free. When the trip ends, ThatOneTime builds a shareable recap you can send to anyone.

How many photos can we add?

Every traveler gets 100 photos in the shared album, and anyone can unlock more for their own photos whenever they want. Events give each guest 50.
