Common questions

Can I buy Tour Group in the app?

Yes — on the web and in both apps. If it isn’t showing, update the app from the App Store or Google Play; older versions stop at Big Trip.

Can my group download the photos afterwards?

Yes. Anyone who was on the tour — including everyone who joined Photos-only — gets a “Download all photos” button on the recap page that pulls every original as a zip, in a browser or in the app. A single photo saves to their camera roll from the app, or downloads on the web. Anyone you only sent the recap link to can look but not download.

Can I send the recap to people who weren’t on the tour?

Yes — and it makes good marketing for the next departure. Once the tour is over, create a recap link and send it to anyone. They don’t need an account, don’t take a traveler spot, and can’t download the originals. Turn it off any time with “Revoke link.”

Does hiding the roster stop people talking to each other?

No. It hides the list of names from travelers below co-host. Everyone still sees the plan, the album, and each other’s photos, captions and comments.

Can a second guide run the tour with me?

Yes — invite them as Co-host, by email. Only the trip’s creator can grant it, and a co-host can’t create another one.

Someone joined as Photos only and needs to edit. Can I fix it?

Any time, from the Members tab — the dropdown beside their name. Changing it there doesn’t affect anyone else who used the same code.

A colleague sent me their itinerary. How do I use it?

Open their link and tap “Use this trip itinerary”“Add to my trip itinerary.” It arrives as a new version of your plan, and you can keep up to three versions per trip.

If I turn off my plan link, does it break the copy someone made?

No. Copying is one-time — the itinerary lands in their trip and stops being connected to yours. Turning off the link only stops new people opening it.

How many photos does each person get?

100, the same on every plan. Anyone who runs low can buy more room for themselves in the app; it doesn’t need anything from you.

Can I run a single-day tour this way?

Use an Event instead — simpler, no lodging or travel sections, and its own ladder up to 200 guests. It can’t be copied for next time, though; only Trips can.

Where do I change the language?

The globe icon labelled “Language” on your Profile page or in the Account menu. English and Spanish. If a guest has already picked a language on their own device, that choice wins over the one you sent the link in.
