Build the itinerary together, watch it update live for everyone, and keep every photo in one album instead of scattered across the group’s phones. This guide uses the exact button names you’ll see on screen.
The free iPhone and Android apps are the better way to run a trip — full screen, photos you can save straight to your camera roll, and a notification when someone changes the plan. It all works in a browser too.

1. Setting up
Reuse a trip you’ve run before
Don’t rebuild it. Open the old trip and tap “Start a new trip from this plan.” Two choices:
- “New trip from this plan” — a fresh trip, pre-filled with the old name and destination. Change the dates, tap Create.
- “Or add it to a trip you already have” — copies the itinerary into a trip you’ve already started.
You get the itinerary, saved places, lodging and travel legs (leave “Include lodging” and “Include travel” on), and your notes. You don’t get photos, booking confirmation numbers, or the guest list — re-invite your group and re-confirm any bookings.
New trip looks empty? Check the Plan tab for a “Viewing [old trip name]” banner and tap “Make this the plan.”
Someone sent you their trip? Open the link, then “Use this trip itinerary” → “Add to my trip itinerary.”
Or start fresh
Tap “New trip.” One question per screen:
- Name — the only required one.
- Destination.
- When — up to 30 days. Longer travel needs a second trip.
- Plan — pick a size.
No account needed to fill this in. “Create trip” asks for your email, sends a short code, and signs you in. No password.
No code? Check your spam folder.
Picking a size
Every trip starts free. Bigger than the free size and you pay right after creating it — card in a browser, in-app purchase in the app. One-time, per trip, and only the organizer pays.

2. Building the itinerary
Open the Plan tab. Inside it: Scheduled, your day-by-day plan, and Saved places, a library of spots you haven’t scheduled yet.
Add a place or activity
- Tap +.
- Tap “Place or activity.”
- “Schedule” (the default) puts it on a day. “Places” saves it for later.
- Fill it in, tap save.
Add lodging or travel
Same + menu → “Lodging” or “Travel.” Both get their own cards, separate from activities.
What’s left
The trip’s main page lists what you haven’t set up — “Add travel,” “Add lodging,” “Save places,” “Build your itinerary” — each one a shortcut.
3. Inviting your group
Tap the Share icon at the top of the trip, or the “Share” pill on the cover photo. Three tabs: Invite, Share, Members.
Pick a role

Send the invite
Co-host is the exception: email only, no QR code, and only the trip’s creator can grant it. Type their address, tap “Email invite.”
Every other role has two routes:
- A reusable QR code or link. “Create invite QR code or link” → “Show QR code.” “Print poster” for a physical copy; “Save image” to drop it into a message. Anyone who scans it and signs in joins at that role. Kill it with “Turn off this link.”
- A personal email invite. Scroll to “or email it,” type the address, tap “Email invite.” Expires in 7 days.
No QR option? You picked Co-host — the one role without it.
What they do
From a QR code or link, they sign in with their email — short code, no password — and they’re in. From an emailed invite, they tap the button (“Join the trip,” “Join as co-host,” “Add your photos” or “Take a look,” depending on the role) and land straight in the trip. It creates their account if they don’t have one.
Nobody needs the app to join. Everyone does sign in with an email, so it’s clear who added what.
Managing people
- Change access: Members tab, dropdown beside their name.
- Remove someone: the trash icon. No confirmation — it’s immediate.
- Just see who’s coming: tap the avatar stack. Anyone in the trip can.
4. While you travel
Anything added through + appears for the whole group instantly — no group text needed. Anyone with the app also gets a notification.
Photos
Travelers and Photos-only can add them:
- Memories tab.
- “Start your trip album” — or + → “Memory” once there are photos in it.
- Take one, or pick from your library.
- Add a caption, tag the day, add your name for credit.
- “Add to Memories.”
View only can look and react, not add.
5. After the trip
Nothing locks when your dates pass. The trip stays editable by anyone who had access, so if you want the final plan preserved, do it on purpose.
Share a recap or the plan
On the Share tab, once the trip is over:
- “Share the recap” → “Create recap link” — a photo summary for people who didn’t come. Undo with “Revoke link.”
- “Share the plan” → choose whether to include lodging and travel → “Create plan link” — days, stops and saved places with their notes. Never your photos, never your booking details. Undo with “Turn off plan link.”
Either can be shown as a QR code or emailed.
Can’t find them? Neither link exists until the trip is over.
Getting the photos
On the recap page, anyone who was on the trip — Travelers and Photos-only alike — can tap “Download all photos” and get every original as a zip, not just what they saved themselves. View-only guests can’t.
